In an eerie chain of events, Matt Barnes is the second Los Angeles Clippers player within the week who had a family member murdered.

Last Thursday, Clippers guard Reggie Bullock’s transgendered sister was found dead in Virginia from a suspected hate crime homicide.

Now Matt Barnes, who has been a cast member on Basketball Wives in the past, is grieving over the loss of his aunt after she apparently stabbed to death by her abusive husband.

“This dude stabbed my auntie in the neck last week & left her for dead on the sidewalk,” he said in a public Instagram post that also pictured 51-year-old Michael Williams of Sacremento, Calif. “She ended up dying on the way to the hospital in the ambulance. If you have any info on his whereabouts, contact the #SacPD # SacramentoWeNeedYourHelp #RIPTang.”

The “auntie” he was referring to was 48-year-old Tanganyika Williams. Michael had reportedly grown increasingly agitated over the past few weeks and things came to a head when he took out his frustration out on Tanganyika, stabbing her as she visited a friend.

As the local news has discovered, these accusations suit Michael rather nicely as he is a seasoned ex-convict.

Via FOX40:

FOX40 has learned that Williams was released from prison there in 2005, after serving 13 years for shooting with intent to kill and assault with a deadly weapon in the highest degree.

His estranged wife at the time called for her mother to help when he tried to attack her.

His mother-in-law survived being shot during that fight.

Tanganyika had her own legal troubles with check fraud, burglary and drugs, but was in recovery and reportedly had helped others as an addiction counselor.

The 48-year-old mother of four was expecting the birth of her fourth grandchild any day when she was killed.

Sacramento Police have fielded many tips about Michael Williams’ location, but none of them have panned out.

He is 5-feet-7-inches, approximately 220 pounds with brown eyes. His hair is slightly longer than in his latest mug shot.

Sacramento Police are asking if you spot Michael, notify them or the family immediately.
