An NYPD office was indicted on bribery, coercion and official misconduct charges Wednesday (Aug. 6) for allegedly trying to bribe a female recruit for sex, $1,000, and her panties. He got busted when the woman showed up to their rendezvous wearing a wire.

Delfin Lantigua, 34, got the woman’s info when he worked in applications processing, according to a source. He reached out to her via Facebook in February, promising to push her application through faster if she submitted to his gross desires.

She did him one better. The woman contacted police and set him up to get arrested.

Their meeting went down on March 11 at Brooklyn Dunkin’ Donuts (this guy is a mess), where Lantigua propositioned the woman. A couple days later, he showed up at a motel to see her. He was arrested and suspended from duty.

“This defendant shamefully violated his duty to uphold the law by demanding sex from a woman who simply wanted to become a police officer,” Brooklyn DA Ken Thompson said in a statement. “He will now be prosecuted for his outrageous conduct.

Lantigua is a nine-year veteran. He faces up to seven years if convicted.
