All that good will that Greg Oden has earned after battling back from multiple knee surgeries just went out the window. The NBA center has been arrested for punching his girlfriend in the face.
TMZ Sports reports that at 3:30 am this morning (Auguzt 7) police were called to the Indiana home of Oden’s mother and found a woman on a bed with injuries to her face as well as blood on the floor and sofa.
A woman on the scene who identified herself as the victim’s best friend told authorities the injuries were caused by Oden punching her in the face.
The police report notes that Oden admitted to striking the woman, and partially reads, “Things got out of control and I started to go after the victim. My relative and witness tried to hold me back, but as I swung my arms to move them out of the way, then punched the victim in the face. I was wrong and I know what has to happen.”
Oden was taken to the bing and charged with misdemeanor battery. You can read the full incident report right here.
