Wale has been synonymous with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group for so long, few even remember that Roc Nation handles his management affairs.

According to XXL, that five-year-old tenure has come to an end. The D.C. rapper will now be managed by 77 North Management, whose members Leonard Brooks, Maverick Carter and Rich Paul, also manage LeBron James.

Wale signed with Roc Nation in 2009, shortly after the release of his debut album Attention Deficit, which boasted a Lady Gaga guest appearance.

The always outspoken artist has remained silent on the new transition in his career but his according to the sources relaying information to XXL, the split was amicable and there will no issues with the development with his fourth studio effort, The Album About Nothing.

Although there is no release date or single planned at the moment, he recently appeared on a Mike Brown tribute with numerous rappers.
