There was a time when Fabolous was one of the most vocal rappers on Twitter. While his tweet output has decreased in recent years, the Brooklyn native decided to vocalize some of his feelings about the current generation in wake of Joan Rivers’ death.
“Every once and a while I get sick of this generation…,” Loso tweeted. “Such a follow, do what everybody else think is cool so that’s what ima do generation… Sh*t is sick…”
Citing the passing of Rivers, Fabolous inquired whether the rest in peace shout outs flooding his timeline were genuine or trendy. He also went on to mention the way people clamored to the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge for what he saw to be superficial reasons, but neglected to donate money to the cause.
Fabolous continued, “Awareness was part of the goal. But donation is a goal. Cures, research, & treatment can’t be paid for with being aware.”
The rapper’s words are sure to be critiqued, given some of the decisions that he’s made musically in recent years. But we’ll let you judge for yourselves. Hit the jump to see Fabolous’ tweets.
