Representing Boston is a newcomer named Gio Dee, who returns today with new product in tow. Here’s the visual for “Right Now,” a celebratory track from his upcoming TOTB2 project, due to release at the end of September.
Gio’s face is covered by sunglasses and a shroud of mystery for the greater portion of the clip. Dimly lit, ominous scenes directed by Rawe Quality match the rapper’s drunken, autotune soaked vocals.
“Can’t believe that I’m here, can’t believe that I’m here,” croons Gio, through recollections of travels made possible through music. While the bubbling artist certainly lives in a moment, it’s clear that he’s optimistic about his future through his boastful tone.
Again, look for TOTB2 to impact before this month closes. Peep the video for “Right Now” and Gio’s previous release, “Come Clean,” in the meantime.
