Chris Bosh has a new NBA contract and a new venture. The Miami Heat forward has launched a neck tie line called Mr. Nice Tie, and celebrated with a party in NYC on Monday (Sept. 8) night.

Reports the New York Post:

Thankfully, fashion faux pas have long been in the rearview mirror for Bosh, who’s maintained an interest in threads and now has teamed up with accessories company Armstrong & Wilson to create his new line, Mr. Nice Tie, which was fêted on Monday night by Lakers guard (and Iggy Azalea’s beau) Nick Young, Tyson Chandler’s wife Kimberly and Rachel Johnson, the star stylist to A-list athletes.

Bosh says the idea came to him after his team sustained a loss.

“I was on the team plane after a game. I think we lost, and that’s when I get lost in my thoughts a little bit, so I was taking my mind off basketball and it just came to me — Mr. Nice Tie,” he recalled. “I wear ties almost every day anyway so it seemed like the logical choice.”

This writer must point out that the late, great Malik Sealy—who unfortunately passed away in 2000 while a member of Minnesota Timberwolves—also designed ties and clothing.
