Someone at Lifetime has some explaining to do. A trailer for the network’s forthcoming, and controversy inspiring, biopic of the late singer Aaliyah features music from Iggy Azalea.
The 30-second trailer features plenty of the footage from the film, titled Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B but no music from the beloved singer. Instead, Australian rapper Iggy Azalea’s “Goddess” is featured throughout the clip.
Surely there were plenty of actual Aaliyah songs to choose from, no?
Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B, starring Alexandra Shipp, is set to premiere on November 15. Watch the latest trailer below.
