Protestors–famous or not–are refusing to back down from Ferguson law enforcement, but they are still getting metal wrist bracelets for their efforts.

Missouri State Senator Jamilah Nasheed was the latest contestant to be ushered in the slammer courtesy of the Ferguson police. And she proudly took her punishment like G.

Reports Raw Story:

State Senator Jamilah Nasheed was taken into custody by Ferguson police officers, said St. Louis County Police spokesman Brian Schellman.

Further details were not immediately available.

CNN footage broadcast by television station KSDK showed the politician shouting “No Justice,” with replies of “No peace,” from several protesters, as she was handcuffed along with another man.

KDSK reported that Nasheed was arrested after standing in the street and blocking traffic, then failing to move despite repeated warnings from police.

Last week, Cornel West was arrested for more of the same; failing to meet the incessant demands of officers who were tired of the civil unrest in their city. Darren Wilson’s latest revelation that he “feared for his life” when he gunned down an unarmed teenager haven’t added to the promise of peaceful atmosphere, either.

St. Louis Alderman Antonio French revealed to the world that Nasheed refused her bond and spent the night in jail.
