Artie Lange is no longer welcomed at ESPN after he tweeted a slew of jokes that detailed a sexual fantasy with ESPN host, Cari Champion.

Lange sparked widespread outcry across social media Wednesday (Nov. 5) when he sent out his graphic tweets about Cari Champion from “First Take.” His fantasy involved beating Champion, a slave owned by Thomas Jefferson (played by the comedian himself), before having sex with her. This, of course, is rape (because sex with a slave is not consensual).

Via TMZ:

ESPN initially called Lange’s tweets “reprehensible,” but now a spokesperson for the network tells TMZ they’ve flat out banned him. We’re told … “there will be no future bookings” for the comedian.

Late Wednesday evening Lange tweeted an apology directly to Champion — but oddly added that he stood by the “joke” as a comedian.

Anywho, Lange was also cut from a Comedy Central gig.
