A Black Texas English teacher let the emotional fury of Ferguson affect her to the point she’s liable to lose her job over some racist tweets.

Vinita Hegwood of Duncanville High School flew off the handle last Friday when she was engaged in a social argument on her social media account.

“Who the f*ck made you dumb duck *ss crackers think I give a squat f*ck about your opinions on my opinions RE: #Ferguson. Kill yourselves!” she exclaimed during the heat of the moment. After realizing how her words may land her into some trouble, she deleted the tweets and her account, but screengrabs had already been conducted by those who had seen the outburst.

The Duncanville School District told FOX’s KRLD-TVsaid Hegwood would be suspended without pay until the school board can vote on her termination. Her immediate punishment is sharp contrast to the white North Carolina teacher who said she would kill all Black people if she only had 10 days remaining to live. She was suspended with pay and sent to the classroom a couple of days later.

“As an individual, Ms. Vinita Hegwood expressed an opinion on social media that is solely her own. She used her personal media account to make remarks that are offensive. While everyone has the right to free speech, as a teacher in the district, we believe the comments that are alleged to be made by Ms. Hegwood are absolutely reprehensible and we do not condone it,” the Duncanville School District’s statement read.

Hegwood has only been with the school for two years. Concerned parents are also calling for her resignation. She has been since removed from the school’s faculty staff page.
