Bill Cosby is currently in a vortex of PR struggle thanks to those pesky rape allegations. The comedian cancelled an appearance on the Late Show with David Letterman.

Reports Page Six:

Cosby spokesman David Brokaw confirmed Friday night that Cosby would not appear next Wednesday as previously scheduled. He did not say why.

“Late Show” representative Kimberly Izzo-Emmet said, “We can’t comment on the guest booking process.” She said Regis Philbin would be the replacement guest.

Another canceled engagement, on “The Queen Latifah Show” on Oct. 30, was characterized by that show as a postponement granted at Cosby’s request.

Also worth noting is that Cosby was mum when asked about the allegations.

Cosby declined to answer questions about the allegations in an interview with NPR’s Scott Simon that aired Saturday.

Simon: “This question gives me no pleasure, Mr. Cosby, but there have been serious allegations raised about you in recent days.”

Bill Cosby: [SILENCE]

Simon: “You’re shaking your head no. I’m in the news business. I have to ask the question. Do you have any response to those charges?”

Cosby: [SILENCE]

Simon: “Shaking your head no. There are people who love you who might like to hear from you about this. I want to give you the chance.”

Cosby: [SILENCE]

Cosby has never been charged in any of the cases.
