Timbaland, the producer who worked closely with R&B starlet Aaliyah, did not take kindly to the Lifetime network’s biopic of the late singer. Timbaland took to Instagram and unleashed a volley of video clips slamming the Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B film.

As we reported over the weekend, Black Twitter aimed venomous darts at Lifetime over its poor handling of the film with relentless intensity. Plagued by questionable casting choices and other concerns, Timbo made sure to join the growing chorus of critics in his unique fashion.

“Lot of people keep asking me about watchin’ that bullsh-t,” opens Timbaland in one of several clips. “Evidently not. No way. Not Timbo.”

Joining in with the comedy on Twitter, Timbaland took on a British accent as he noodled on a keyboard playing a peppy tune while stating why the film shouldn’t have been made. And like Black Twitter did with flair, Timbo posted  a series of memes including one aimed at the film’s producer, talk show personality Wendy Williams.

Timbo also had a common refrain of telling the network that they will “feel his wrath” and that there will be “consequences” over the biopic’s airing. What that entails is unknown but it’s clear Timbaland was unhappy even as he smiled boyishly throughout his chin-checking videos.
