Wale and his obsession with all things Seinfeld has been long documented, including a nod to the show gracing his upcoming The Album About Nothing release for 2015. The D.C. wordsmith gives yet another nod to the classic sitcom after announcing a new mixtape titled Festivus.

Joining Wale on this ride will be Canadian DJ A-Trak and as Miss Info notes, this serves as a bit of a reunion. A-Trak co-founded Fool’s Gold Records with Nick Catchdubs, who served as the DJ for Wale for the start of his Seinfeld-related mixtapes, The Mixtape About Nothing, in 2008.

More from Miss Info:

Wale is looking to make a big splash in 2015 with the release of his third LP, The Album About Nothing, and the start of his Simply Nothing tour. But before all that, the MMG rapper is set to end the year on a high by dropping a new mixtape with A-Trak titled Festivus — yet another nod to his favorite show, Seinfeld — on December 23 (obviously).

For folks who didn’t watch Seinfeld, Festivus was an actual family tradition celebrated by a writer on the show and they made the December 23 “holiday” the focus of a classic 1997 episode.

This will be Wale’s first full-length release for the year as he primes his fourth LP which will be unleashed by MMG.

Check out the trailer for Wale and A-Trak’s Festivus mixtape in the clip below. The good folks over at Complex will be dropping it.
