It’s currently Pinkprint season and the rap climate has particularly been raining down on Safaree Samuels a.k.a. Scaff Breezy f.k.a. Nicki Minaj’s boyfriend.
TMZ ran up on the outed flame in the streets of L.A. to get some clarification on his subtweet squabble with Nicki Minaj Twitter account, which appeared to be able to dish it out just as face.
“It [was] definitely not a Twitter war,” Samuels says of the very public feud. “It’s a misunderstanding, y’know? Somebody out there planting some poison out there, but definitely nothing but love.”
And when asked if there was a possibility of him and Nicki getting back together, the part-time rapper’s response was calculated, but his body language and vocal inflections reeked of optimism, like a 6-year-old boy waiting for his rolling stone papa to return for a game of catch.
“I support her in everything they do. Twelve years is a long time. That’s not just something that you just forget about. That’s like a family member,” he says. “It’s different when everywhere you go, everything you watch, every single radio station…has on that person.”
