Solange Knowles owes taxes to the state of California, and the news came as surprise to her, too. The singer and designer has issued a statement regarding the tax lien she was hit with just a few days after she got married.
“The lien is in process of being removed as there was simply confusion on whether Solange was a California resident. We expect this to come to a swift close,” says Solange’s press rep.
The singer owes over $55,000 in taxes from 2010 – 2012. Besides her famous sisters, considering Solange has her own career, DJ’ing and designing kicks for Puma, we’re sure the bill will be taken care of shortly.
