We are living in tumultuous times in light of protests sparked by the death of unarmed Black men like Eric Garner and Mike Brown. But Chicago crooner BJ The Chicago Kid feels that some of the protesters got it twisted and are out there for the wrong reasons.

“I’m not with the new wave of protesting, no. That’s bullsh*t to me,” BJ told Hip-Hop Wired. “Some people out there just because Instagram is popping. Some people out there just to take pictures. If I was out there I ain’t taking no pictures on my Instagram cause it ain’t about me. It ain’t about me selling my music, it’s about a cause. I see so many people fake attaching themselves to that, and I don’t f*ck with that.”

Check the rest of BJ rant above. What do you think of his stance? Hear him out and let us know in the comments.
