Russell Wilson has found an alterative way for fans to forget about his intercepted pass during Super Bowl XLIX. Unfortunately, it’s one that has a particular sect of his followers up in arms.
A few days ago, like many Americans, the Seattle Seahawks quarterback took in a screening of the record-breaking softcore film, 50 Shades of Grey. Thing is, Wilson is publicly held to a higher standard because he publicly acknowledges that he is a Christian and even shares daily scriptures on social media.
Embed from Getty ImagesAnd boy did his church-going flock let him have it. The 26-year star athlete has even tried to humanize his squeaky-clean image with self-revealing op-eds in the past, but he is still looked upon like his first name begins with “St.” Check out his reactions on Twitter:
In the Holy Bible, John 8:7 to be exact, it quotes, “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her…” but flip through the gallery below and you will see plenty of devout Christians ready to rock out with boulders towards Russell Wilson’s direction. Yikes!
