The National Football League (NFL) and the Philadelphia Eagles are continuing to look into a shooting that happened at a “Birthday Bash” for Eagles quarterback Michael Vick.

The incident happened Friday outside a Virginia Beach, VA restaurant.

One of Vick’s attorneys Lawrence Woodward has stated that Vick had already left the building when the shooting occurred and was not involved in anyway.

Police spokesman Adam Bernstein told the Philadelphia Daily News also that Vick was “of no interest” to investigators.

Police have not identified the man wounded in the shooting although The Associated Press reported that Quanis Phillips, one of Vick’s co-defendants in a 2007 federal dogfighting case, spent the night at a nearby hospital and was discharged Friday afternoon so he could possibly be the victim of the shooting.

The event was hosted at the Guadalajara restaurant in Virginia Beach and promoted as “Michael Vick’s All White 30th Birthday Bash” as attendees were asked to wear all white.

The event was held last Thursday night and rolled over till Friday morning. Vick turned 30 last Saturday.
