In a move that should surprise no one, Chicago rap standout Vic Mensa has aligned his talents with Jay Z’s Roc Nation management. The 21-year-old multifaceted Hip-Hop artist had been highly visible as of late; appearing on “Wolves,” the alleged first cut off of Kanye West’s upcoming album and then quickly turning around with his own record featuring Lord Yeezus titled, “U Mad.”

Born Victor Mensah, the young musical prodigy has exhibited a level of versatility that has easily separated him from many of his peers in the same talent class. Between his knack for trippy visuals including the Wired 25 Best of 2014-charting “Down On My Luck” to his critically acclaimed INNANETAPE, his catalog is shaping up to be of unique quality in just the early stages of his career.

On the performance front, Mensa has also established an impressive resume, nestling up to J. Cole and Wale in 2013 on the “What Dreams May Come” tour and a European tour with Danny Brown. He also appeared alongside Kanye West and Sia on Saturday Night Live’s 40th anniversary to perform the aforementioned “Wolves” and has also tackled the Wireless Festival, The Governors Ball Festival, the most recent Coachella Valley Music and Arts festival.

“U Mad” has finally made its way on iTunes for consumer consumption and additionally, TIDAL has released an exclusive playlist curated by Mensa available here.
