Kevin Moore, who recorded and released the footage of Freddie Gray’s arrest, claims that Baltimore police began harassing him soon after the clip went viral. Last night (April 30), he and two members of Cop Watch were arrested.

The aforementioned footage shows Gray getting into a police van, where he suffered a spinal cord injury that’s yet to be properly explained in the custody of law enforcement. He died of said injuries a week later (his death has been ruled a homicide).

Moore cooperated with police, having spoke with two detectives in the Police Department’s Office of Internal Oversight about what he witnessed and turned over the footage. But much to his surprise, his name and photo were published on the Internet.

“What is so important that you have to plaster my picture over the Internet? I’ve already spoken,” Moore told the Baltimore Sun.

Moore was in a car with Chad Jackson and Tony White of Cop Watch, an organization dedicated to filming and documenting police work.

The reason for Moore’s arrest and eventual release remains unclear, according to Daily Mail. The members of Cop Watch are said to still be in custody.

The man who captured Eric Garner’s chocking death at the hands of the NYPD was arrested in a similar fashion.
