The world will probably never get enough of the sensationalized murder trials, which is probably why FX is meticulously prepping the rollout of the upcoming O.J. Simpson Miniseries, American Crime Story: The People vs. OJ Simpson.
As previously reported, Cuba Gooding, Jr. was giving the daunting task of embodying the disgraced former football star’s most darkening hours of his life, along with several other high-profile actors. Although FX isn’t airing the 10-episode series until next year (which is based on Jeffrey Toobin’s book The Run of His Life: The People V. OJ Simpson), they have begun filming in Los Angeles and released cast photos which bear an uncanny resemblance for most of them.
Legendary actor John Travolta heads the billing as defense attorney Robert Shapiro while David Schwimmer and Courtney B. Vance assume the roles of the late pseudo celebrities, Robert Kardashian and Johnnie Cochran, respectively.
Rounding out the cast is Sarah Paulson who portrays losing prosecutor Marcia Clark and Billy Magnussen as Kato Kaelin, who would have arguably became the biggest reality star of all-time, had this case happened ten years later.
Although Selma Blair’s photo as Kris Jenner has yet to been released, it can be assumed that she will have a notable role given the popularity she amassed following the infamous not-guilty verdict and her husband’s death.
