The sneaker game is getting out of control. Ten men are wanted for robbing a Foot Locker in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
According to NBC New York, the basketball team’s worth of kicks culprits (too soon?) pulled off their caper on June 9 by rolling into a Foot Locker on Broadway and Marcus Garvey Boulevard (767 Broadway) and trying on multiple pairs of sneakers.
They then dipped out with sneakers, backpacks and clothes without paying a dime. According to NY1, their haul totaled $1800 worth of goods.
Falling in line with the trend that people who resort to such crimes aren’t particularly qualified to be criminal masterminds, the thieves weren’t wearing masks and the Foot Locker had surveillance cameras. Thus police released photos of six of the suspects and are asking anyone with info to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
