Tareek Arnold, a 23-year-old man wanted for suspicion of attempted murder in Harlem, was in handcuffed and in custody at 32nd Precinct station Tuesday night (Jun. 23). Arnold managed to escape the station in handcuffs, and the chunky cops giving chase in a released video shows that NYPD cops might need to lay off the free donuts.

As reported by WCBS and WABC, Arnold was taken into custody last Tuesday and was set to head to Manhattan Central Booking for processing. Instead, cops say Arnold assaulted an officer, while handcuffed mind you, and was seen running down a Harlem street in WCBS’ video.

What makes the whole situation comical is seeing Arnold, who isn’t so slim himself, sprinting with his handcuffed hands while two plainclothes detectives valiantly give chase but ended up looking hopeless in the end. Other fantastic details is that Arnold has two tattoos, one that reads “Troll” and the other that reads “Militant Soldier.”

But on a serious note, a large manhunt was launched by the NYPD yet Arnold is still at large.

Police are asking anyone with information on Tareek Arnold’s whereabouts to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). There is also the NYPD CRIME Stoppers website or folks can text their what they know to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
