While every other big artists seems to be picking sides in the new fluster of music streaming imprints, Prince doesn’t seem to be about that life. Or does he?

’The Purple One removed his music from Spotify and Apple Music, but his songs are up on TIDAL, Pandora, and Google Play, reports Variety.

Spotify made the announcement Wednesday (July 1). “Prince’s publisher has asked all streaming services to remove his catalog. We have cooperated with the request, and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible.”

The fact that Prince’s music is available on Tidal could mean that he’s making the jump over Jay Z’s company, or he just hasn’t gotten around to taking it down yet.

Prince is very particular about his catalog — as he should be. The 57-year-old pulled his music from YouTube and VEVO in 2013.
