Priest Stole $1.3 Million To Pay For Male Escorts

Rev. Kevin J. Gray, a Roman Catholic Connecticut priest was accused of stealing, $1.3 million of the churches money, which was used for male escorts, expensive clothing and luxury hotels and restaurants.

Gray, a former pastor at Sacred Heart/Sagrado Corazon Parish in Waterbury, was arrested and charged with first-degree larceny.  Gray used the funds to stay at upscale hotels such as the Waldorf-Astoria and on expensive clothing labels.   He had also paid the college tuition and rent of two men he had met.

The Archdiocese called for a police investigation after they discovered that Gray may have taken more than a million dollars for personal use.  The funds which are supposed to be used for insurance premiums and other debts, was used to finance Gray’s lavish lifestyle. The money involved a combination of parish savings and money that should have been used to pay certain debts, such as insurance premiums.

The Archdiocese of Hartford released a statement saying that “We are deeply saddened by the events which have recently had such a profound affect on Sacred Heart/Sagrado Corazon parish.”

At least Reverend Grey will have some fond memories in jail. Let’s hope the young men he benefited will have the decency to visit him in jail, even if he doesn’t have any more money to take them out for that nice steak dinner or new Armani suit.
Don’t you wish you had a double life like Reverend Gray?

I think these men who become priest do it because their gay or like children but don’t want anyone knowing and don’t want family or society pressuring them to marry women.
