Gal Gadot has a very promising future ahead, now that DC Comics are openly challenging Marvel Studios for silver screen supremacy. The 30-year-old Israeli-born actress and model was recently cast as Wonder Woman in the inevitable blockbuster Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice.

While speaking with Andy Warhol’s famed Interview magazine, Gadot explained how her character would make an immediate impact and flashed some skin for photographer Chris Colls because she can.

“I told [the film’s producers] that I wanted to be able to show the stronger side of women,” Gadot said in reference to the Amazonian Diana Prince being taken serious against her male counterparts. “I didn’t want to do the obvious role that you see in Hollywood most of the time, which is the heartbroken girl who’s waiting to be rescued by the guy, blah, blah, blah.”

Gadot has previously appeared in four Fast & Furious films so she knows a thing (or four) about toughening it up on the action scenes.

“I’m so excited about this role. I feel like I’ve been given a huge opportunity to inspire people, not only women. And not because of me but because of who Wonder Woman is and what she stands for. There’s a lot of responsibility. But I have the best team and the best people to work with. It’s going to be an amazing ride, knock on wood.”
