Yasiin Bey doesn’t do much rapping these days but his popularity remains at an all-time high like his debut Black on Both Sides came out yesterday.
So imagine the Montreal crowd’s excitement at this weekend’s 10th annual Osheaga Festival when the reigining champ, Kendrick Lamar brought out the Mighty Mos for a impromptu remix of “Alright.”
Actually, you din’t have to imagine it, there’s video evidence of the spectacle.
Pigeons and Planes reports that K. Dot was running through the Pimp a Butterfly portion of his set and spotted the reclusive rapper on the side of the stage. After a little coaxing, Bey ignited the crowd with an on-spot freestyle and the rest is Osheaga Festival history.
