Fans of Aaliyah are familiar of her connection with Virginia producer Timothy “Timbaland” Mosley, and the pair made several classic records together. Timbaland announced on Instagram that he has some of the late singer’s music in the vaults and promises to release some of the unheard tunes.

This past Sunday, Mosley posted a photo of Aaliyah with the following caption:

Attention!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven’t heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL !!!!! Sneak peak coming !!!!!!!

To date, the post received over 14,000 likes and over 1,000 comments, signaling just how robust Aaliyah’s fan base truly was. And has been noted in times past, several popular artists of today have attempted to release music with the singer using vaulted material which Timbaland has never approved of.

Aaliyah and eight others were killed on August 25, 2001, during a plane crash in the Bahamas. Aaliyah just wrapped the filming of the video for her track, “Rock The Boat,” while in the island nation. She was 22 at the time.
