Ma$e should drop a new song about that old NYC sound said absolutely no one. Nevertheless, the former (sort of) Bad Boy rapper just dropped a new cut called “#WhenNYWasNY” with no traces of that NY boom bap.
The irony here is that this is a freestyle over Tupac’s “California Love” instrumental. Maybe Ma$e saw Straight Outta Compton early and felt inspired?
“I’m who ni**as tattle on, build empires like Babylon/Tell them ni**as battle on, I’m who the farmer bet his cattle on,” spits Ma$e.
Also, hashtags? Nope, it damn sure didn’t trend.
This guy. That you Betha?!
