Bonnie and Clyde are likely rolling in their graves over the stupidity put on display by a Ohio bank robbing couple who were recently busted after they told on themselves on social media.
John E. Mogan II, 28, of Pataskala and Ashley K. Duboe, 24, of Lancaster are being held on $250,000 bond after they got too giddy with their capers and posted plenty of photos on Facebook with them holding the cash.
Via USA TODAY:
The teller handed him an undisclosed amount of cash and Mogan fled on foot, according to the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office and the Ashville Police Department.
Authorities said after they identified Mogan as a suspect, they came across Facebook photos of the him brazenly posing with large amounts of cash. One photo shows Mogan with a wad of bills stuffed in his mouth.
While authorities aren’t sure whether the money in the photos came from the Savings Bank incident, they think it is likely since Mogan did not have a job when he uploaded the pictures of the money, Lt. Dale Parish of the Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office told CNN.
“His lack of fruitful employment at the time wouldn’t generate money to that extent,” Parish told CNN.
Both are charged with third-degree felony charges of robbery, fifth-degree felony charges of theft and are each being held on $250,000 bond.
