Atlanta man Gerod Roth probably wishes he had better filters on his Facebook profile or, better yet, that he never took a selfie featuring a young Black child with racist comments that followed. Known as Geris Hilton on Facebook, Roth was fired from his job after he and his friends posted insensitive remarks underneath the photo.

As reported by AtlantaBlackStar.com, Roth posted a photo with a Black child just sitting over his shoulder and a terse look on his face. Right underneath the photos, Roth’s classy buds took turns in trying out for the Most Racist Joke award in terribly robust fashion.

Even Roth himself got into the comments act but eventually word got to his boss at the Polaris Marketing Group, who mentioned that the child Roth and others were mocking was an employee’s son.

More from AtlantaBlackStar.com:

A viral Facebook post made by a man named Gerod Roth and its accompanying racists comments, has resulted in multiple firings.

Gerod Roth, who went as Geris Hilton on Facebook, worked for Polaris Marketing Group before being terminated after the company was notified of racially charged comments posted publicly on his Facebook profile.

The initial post was made on September 16, and contained a picture of himself with the Black child of a coworker.

Soon after, his Facebook friends began to comment on the post, captioning the pic with bigoted and racists comments.

Roth’s boss at Polaris Marketing, Group Michael Da Graca Pinto, took to Facebook last week and promptly aired out Roth for the photo and comments:

This morning I was disgusted to learn that one of my former employees made several racially charged comments on his personal Facebook page. Even worse, the comments were directed toward the son of another employee.

It breaks my heart that Sydney and her adorable son Cayden were subjected to such hateful, ignorant and despicable behavior. Cayden visits my office almost every afternoon after daycare, he’s sat at my dinner table and I consider him a part of the PMG family.

The atrocious lies, slander and racism he and his mother have been forced to endure are wholly intolerable. Myself and the entire PMG family in no way condones this kind of behavior and would never willingly associate with anyone who does.

According to AtlantaBlackStar.com, one of Roth’s friends was also fired from her job after leading the racist comment charge on his Facebook page. Oops.
