Lamar Odom got a dose of human betrayal, thanks to some of the employees at Sunrise Hospital. Several workers were fired for trying to sneak flicks of Odom after he almost died.
It’s doesn’t sound easy, but the employees managed to top themselves on the scale of bad morals, and undaunted unprofessionalism. Besides the pics, workers wanted their hands on Odom’s medical records — which is a violation of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act.
A rep for the hospital wouldn’t admit anything. “We take all patient privacy very seriously and follow all HIPAA policies in compliance with federal regulations,” said the rep.
Odom was hospitalized at Sunrise after he was found unconscious in a brothel. He has since been transferred to Cedar Sinai where his room is being guarded by security. Khloe Kardashian took him back too, as long as he stays clean.
