After countless hit songs, a handful of mixtapes and classic guest appearances, Ty Dolla $ign has finally gotten his own block of the wall with the release of his major label debut album, Free TC.

Last Thursday, November 12, partygoers, industry insiders and national recording artists flooded SBE’s posh West Hollywood lounge, HYDE to all show their support for Hip-Hop’s reigning R&B prince. The event was sponsored by Beats who cleverly themed selections for their open bar with titles such as the “Free TC” and the “Blasé” and supplied guests with hors d’oeuvres consisting of lobster rolls, truffle fries, Kobe beef sliders, and more.

After arriving fashionably late because it was his party, Ty Dolla $ign fired up some irie and conducted a Q&A with esteemed journalist, Apple Music’s Carl Chery to elaborate on the vibrant sounds the crowd had just listened to. When asked why he specifically dedicated his album’s title to his incarcerated brother, he simply stated, “I’m having hella fun doing shows and I got a nice car and a nice house and nice everything and my brother can’t enjoy this sh*t with me, so it’s ‘Free TC.'”

Celebrity guests at the party included Wiz Khalifa, Mila J., T.I. & Tiny, Sevyn Streeter, Joe Moses, Melody Thornton, Chevy Woods and Ricky P (TGOD), Khalil, actor Leon Thomas, as well as radio personalities Devi Dev and Fuzzy.

Free TC is currently available on iTunes and Apple Music. Flip through the gallery below to see highlights from the event.
