Is drinking lean—the mix of Sprite and promethazine cough syrup—a dangerous habit or a misunderstood pastime? Houston rap legends Paul Wall and Slim Thug know a thing or two about sippin’ on the syrup and explained the nuances of what’s become a widespread habit for many.
“It can get costly, man,” Slim Thug told Hip-Hop Wired. “Ace of Spades is cheaper than drink. You gotta be getting some real money to sip syrup, especially in this day and age where it’s so rare. It can be bad, you can go broke buying it.”
Word? But Paul and Slim insist it doesn’t cause “crackhead level” addiction.
