Police in Anaheim, California arrested a teen Sunday after they say he stabbed a woman several times in the head while she read her bible.
18-year-old Alfredo Gonzalez was arrested after one of his relatives told police that he was hiding in the restroom of a fast-food restaurant.
Police say Gonzalez attacked 70-year-old Mary Margaret Fuentes Saturday afternoon while she read her bible on her porch.
Fuentes told police that Gonzlaes, who is her neighbor, attacked her without warning and left several stab wounds on her head and ears.
Police say the teen’s family cooperated with police 100% and gave them permission to search their home.
Gonzales is suspected of being in a gang which may have been cause for the attack.
Fuentes was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.
