Christmas seriously rivals Thanksgiving in terms of being a holiday where being charitable means the most. Three of Los Angeles’ most brightest rap stars are getting together on Friday, December 18, to help their city’s most vulnerable citizens over in Skid Row.

The WorldStarHipHop Foundation, led by its founder Lee “Q” O’Denat, is spearheading their third annual Skid Row Christmas alongside the trio of aforementioned Hip-Hop artists to give out more than 1000 care packages, food donated by Subway and free haircuts, courtesy of the Los Angeles Barber College. Each participant will be able to receive a gift bag containing a basic survival kit (toothbrush, bar soap, shampoo & body bath, stick deodorant, shave cream), blankets, hand warmers, anti-bacteria essentials, beanies/gloves/scarves, and a complimentary Christmas gift bag, as well as other items.

“It’s important to WorldStarHipHop to be able to give back,” Q says of his “We are well aware of the homeless issue in Los Angeles and hope that with this program we are able to help those in need.”

Footage of last year’s Skid Row Christmas can be seen below, which was hosted by none other than the legendary LL Cool J.
