The arrest of Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman last week put an end to a months-long search for the Mexican drug lord. The raid by the Mexican Marines that took down Guzman was caught on video, looking very much like a first-person shooter video game.

TMZ reports:

The Mexican marines who captured El Chapo were wearing GoPro cameras, and the footage of their raid was just released.

The video is remarkable — the troops are HEAVILY armed … obviously expecting a major gun battle to take down the drug lord. It kinda looks like an intense game of “Call of Duty” — except the bullets are real here.

Fusion reported that Mexican news outlet Televisa aired the footage the raid, which was dubbed operation “Black Swan” and later edited by Mexican authorities.  The footage showed about 15 minutes of Friday raid of the home where Guzman was in hiding.

The ever elusive Guzman reportedly got away from the home with the help of an accomplice and escaped through a sewer line before he was later captured. Five suspects were reportedly killed at the scene of the raid, with one of the Marines suffering injuries that were said to be non-threatening.

Mexican journalist Carlos Loret De Mola was given the footage by the Mexican Navy.
