Fresh Prince of Bel Air‘s first Aunt Viv, Janet Hubert, was unceremoniously booted from the show after its third season. Yesterday (Jan. 18), Hubert posted a response to Jada Pinkett-Smith’s call to boycott the Oscars that made sure to include jabs at Will Smith.

The “blacktress” dropped a video message that featured all types of saltiness, on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day no less.

“First of all, Miss Thing, does your man not have a mouth of his own with which to speak?,” said Hubert.

Yeah, she went there.

She added, “The second thing, girlfriend, there’s a lot of sh*t going on in the world that you all don’t seem to recognize. People are dying. Our boys are being shot, left and right. People are hungry. People are starving. People are trying to pay bills. And you talk about some motherf*cking actors and Oscars. It just ain’t that deep.”

But really, the issue here is Jada’s hubby.

She continued, “I find it ironic that somebody who has made their living, made their living, and made millions and millions of dollars from the very people you’re talking about boycotting, just because you didn’t get a nomination, just because you didn’t win—that is not the way life works, baby, okay.” she said.

From here she made sure to mention Will Smith didn’t back her when it came time to ask for more money from NBC.

“You ain’t Barack and Michelle Obama, and y’all need to get over yourselves. You have a huge production company that you only produce your friends and your family and yourself. So you are a part of Hollywood. You are a part of the system that is unfair to other actors. So get real.”

Do you buy what Hubert is selling? Or is she just bitter (“It’s not about being bitter, it’s about being right,” she said.).
