Kid Cudi is speaking out on his recent arrest for criminal mischief and drug possession.

As previously reported Cudi real name, Scott Mescudi, was arrested in June after police report that he was involved in domestic dispute with a woman and ripped her door of its hinges.

When police arrived at the scene they took Cudi into custody and discovered a controlled substance, later reportedly identified as liquid cocaine in his pocket.

Now a month later Cudi is addressing his arrest and assuring fans that he’s here to stay.

Speaking at a recent appearance in Brooklyn, the rapper who is an avid marijuana smoker, told the crowd that he’s”good now “and referenced the “27 club”, a group of musicians that includes Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix that all died unexpectedly at the age of 27.

“I know you guys were hearing some Shyte about me in the news. I was wilding out and Shyte, but I’m good now. I just smoke weed. I know n*ggas die when they 27. I’m 26 now, but I promise I’ll live till I’m old as Shyte.”

Cudi’s sophomore album Man On The Moon pt. 2 was scheduled to hit stores on “G.O.O.D. Music Day” September 14, 2010 alongside Kanye West, Consequence and Big Sean but has since been pushed back till September 28th.
