Authorities in New York announced the indictment of 18 gang members Wednesday (Feb. 3) accused of causing “a wave of terror and enormous bloodshed” throughout Brooklyn. The No Love City gang, responsibly for shooting up the set of a Meek Mill video last June, face 76 counts for murder, and more.
“What this indictment means to us is that our streets don’t belong to violent street gangs or armed thugs,” said Brooklyn district attorney Ken Thompson. “They belong to the people of Brooklyn.”

The suspects, all men ages 18 to 27, are members of a subset of the Folk Nation gang called No Love City, based in Flatbush, Brooklyn, the Brooklyn district attorney, Ken Thompson, said at a news conference with Police Commissioner William J. Bratton and other officials.
The suspects face charges including murder, attempted murder and weapons possession for about a dozen crimes over the last 18 months, including the killing of a 25-year-old rival and a shooting that left a 60-year-old woman partly paralyzed as she walked home with groceries, Mr. Thompson said.
The No Love City gang members used violence to maintain their dominance over an area roughly bordered by Flatbush, Newkirk and Ditmas Avenues in Brooklyn, the indictment said. Led by Kywme Waddell, 24, the gang members carried out “hunting expeditions” looking for rivals to kill and used social media to plot their exploits and then brag about them, Mr. Thompson said.
Fifteen of the men are being held without bail at Rikers Island, and face up to 25 years behind bars. They were busted by the same task force behind the arrest of Bobby Shmurda and the GS9 crew.
