Less than two weeks after the death of his wife, Oklahoma City Thunder coach Monty Williams shared a message of strength and forgiveness during her funeral Thursday (Feb. 18). 44-year-old Ingrid William passed away on Feb. 10 after being in a head-on collisions with a driver who also died.

While giving her eulogy, Williams expressed his gratitude for the support during a “tough time,” before giving an inspiring perspective on the tragedy.

“Let us not forget the two people in this situation, and that family needs prayers as well,” he said. “And we have no ill will toward the family. That family didn’t wake up wanting to hurt my wife. Life is hard — it’s very hard — and that was tough. But we hold no ill will towards the family.”

The funeral was attended by NBA stars and coached including, Clippers point gaurd Chris Paul and the team’s coach Doc Rivers, and San Antonio Spurs players David West and Tim Duncan.

Lebron James wasn’t able to attend but shared a message for Williams on Twitter.
