After Troy Ave crassly mocked the suicide of Pro Era member Capital Steez in a diss record, Joey Bada$$ responded today (March 2) by digging up old tweets. The missives from as far back as 2009 find Troy Ave dissing NYC rap legend Nas, calling God’s Son a weirdo, among other jabs.
“This brotha been buggin ….. Get him TF outta here…. No mercy for this man,” was the caption of Joey’s tweet that included a set of screen caps of the Nas slander. In one, dated June 5, 2009, Troy wrote: “Nas is a sucka…cant [sic] keep his b*tches under control.”
Apparently modern rap beef must incorporate a social media component.
Yesterday (March 1), Troy doubled down on his Steez slander when he called in to Sway In The Morning. He was unapologetic, noting there are no rules when it comes to rap beef and that taking your life is wrong, period.
