Kobe Bryant ended his storied career in legendary fashion as he poured in 60 points on the Utah Jazz in his final game in the NBA.

Ever since he announced that he would be retiring, the 2015-16 NBA season has been one long farewell tour for Kobe. Along the way he’s left gifts for players while some have returned the favor. On Wednesday night he left the Utah Jazz with a parting gift as well, 60 points and a L.

The 37-year old had not scored more than 35 points all season. In fact, he only crossed the 30-point threshold three times. But on the final night of his 19-year career, Kobe saved his best for last and put up 50 shots, hitting 22 of them. His Los Angeles Lakers teammates knew how special the night was and gave him the ball whenever he demanded it and watched in awe with the rest of the fans who paid upwards of $17,000 per ticket to see the game up close and in person.

Most important of all, the Lakers needed each and everyone of those points to beat the Jazz in highly competitive game. It was an appropriate send off for Kobe. In a way, he avenged his embarrassing 1996-97 rookie season Playoff game against the Jazz when he shot a series of airballs, losing the game and getting eliminated.
