Music fans spent the past two weeks encapsulated by Drake’s VIEWS, an aural testimonial dedicated to his hometown of Toronto. But there’s more to the 6’s music scene than the OVO commander-in-chief and his constituents, thus proven by rising singer and producer River Tiber.
With plans to deliver an album summer 2016, Tiber provides listeners with a sample of what’s to come with “Acid Test.” Once again, h crisp vocals shine through, but a combination of ethereal melodies and robust live percussion make the record a sonic standout compared to recent tracks like “West,” featuring Daniel Caesar, and the Pusha T and Kaytranada-assisted “Illusions.”
