Black Thought of The Roots is putting himself up to another challenge. He will be rapping a recap of every NBA Finals game.

Earlier this week ABC released a new video featuring The Roots performing the 2016 NBA Finals theme song “Show Me You’re A Champion.” Now it has been revealed that Black Thought will be rapping a recap of every NBA Finals game when the series begins in June.

Per XXL:

Questlove revealed that for group MC Black Thought, the work isn’t over. “He has the hardest job because we went a mile further by accident. It was like, ‘You know what? We could customize the lyrics for every game.’” he said. “So literally, for the next two weeks, Tariq will be in the studio at 3 in the morning giving a recap or the intro for what happened at that night’s game.”

Quest also shared how the opportunity for the group came about, saying that after the league had used their song “The Fire” for many years, they offered to produce an original.

If there is anyone who can pull this feat off, it’s Black Thought. As a nightly performer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Thought has had to come up with raps on the spot. He’s no stranger to recapping as he’s done it recently for HBO’s Game Of Thrones.

On Friday night, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers secured their spot in the NBA Finals for a second consecutive year by defeating Drake‘s hometown team the Toronto Raptors. They are awaiting the winner of the Western Conference Finals between the Golden State Warriors and Oklahoma City Thunder.
