A leaked image features Indiana Pacers forward Paul George on the cover of the new NBA 2K17 video game.
The image appeared in the Sony Playstation Store as a pre-order option. Scott Burress aka Extreme Gamer took a screenshot of the image before 2K Sports took it down.
George joins Kobe Bryant as the co-star of this year’s version of the game. George appears to be the cover athlete for the standard edition while Bryant is featured on the cover on the legends edition.
This is George’s first time being featured on the cover of a major sports video game. In addition to being one of more popular players in the NBA, his unique skill set has also made him a favorite to play with on the game itself.
George is highly considered to be this year’s unofficial NBA Comeback Player Of The Year. In 2014, the All-Star forward suffered a gruesome leg injury during an USA Olympic Basketball Team game. He spent the next year recovering and returned late in the 2014-15 season. This year he bounced back completely and led his team back into the playoffs.
Non-sports fans may know him for his personal life making headlines. He reportedly offered a stripper $1 million dollars to have an abortion and has gone on record to say that the “NBA lifestyle” has prevented him from taking care of the child after her birth. He was also the butt of many jokes when he was catfished by a gay man and sent him d*ck pics. George later denied that he was fooled and that the pics were leaked by someone else. He also known for rivaling Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook for being the worst dressed player in the NBA.
The official 2K17 cover reveal is expected to take place on Wednesday, June 1.
