Mateen Was Married With A Child
Although officials couldn’t determine if he was still married, records show evidence of a union that took place in 2009 and that couple may have had a son together. It has been reported that Mateen’s son is three.
Mateen, who was born in New York, was a registered Democrat and seemingly normal according to accounts from friends and family who knew him. However, Mateen’s father did confirm that his son was angered at seeing two men kiss at a previous moment of time.
