Lil Bibby is from the Cam’Ron school of “No Snitching.” In an interview with DJ Vlad, the Chicago-rapper says he will never talk to police, even if it comes to his mother getting shot.
It seems like yet another rapper has fallen into DJ Vlad’s interrogation trap. This time it’s Lil Bibby who shares that he does not like the police and that he will never, ever under any circumstances talk to them or give them information. Because any time you utter a word to a police officer, that is snitching in his book.
Child molester in the neighborhood. Nope, not calling the police. He’d rather see about the molester himself.
Somebody he knows get shot? Nope, still not talking.
Somebody shoot his mother and get away with it? Nope, no haps. Instead he’ll just try to find out where their mother stays to return the favor.
“Anything you do with [the police] is snitching,” he advises. “You don’t talk to the police. You don’t cooperate with them. I don’t care if somebody shot your momma, I ain’t calling no police. I’m not talking with them. I don’t know nothing. I don’t care if I seen the dude dead in the face, know his full name, I’m not telling the police nothing.”
The irony here is that in the interview, Bibby actually “snitches” on himself and some friends when he shares a story about a time when they beat up a guy for peeking through a window and masturbating while looking at one of their neighbors.
Bibby believes that talking to police can have ramifications if you tell on somebody and they get off. He senses that they may come back looking for revenge if they found out that you told on them.
Bibby does state that the only time it’s OK to talk to police is if you’re jewelry or car gets stolen.
Everybody is fair game in Lil Bibby‘s world it seems. Somebody get this kid a mentor.
