A man in Brooklyn turned a 4th of July celebratory barbecue into a night of terrors when he unloaded his gun on the party after being denied entry.
DNAInfo reports that at around 11:30pm a man looked to enter the party on 419 Chauncey St near Saratoga Avenue when he was rebuffed by some of the party’s patrons. That’s when they say the man pulled out his gun and let off into the crowd of at least 90 partygoers and struck seven people – four young men and three young women – before hightailing out of there.
The victims were treated at Brookdale and Kings County hospitals and were all listed in stable condition.
A 21-year-old suspect has since been apprehended but not charged as police are looking as to whether or not he was involved in another shooting which occurred a few hours earlier on Chauncey and Broadway, also in Brooklyn.
Like they always say, just because you’re not having a good time doesn’t mean you have to ruin someone else’s. Especially with life-threatening violence.
